Thank You To the DPW and MPSD Custodians

I wanted to commend and thank the Marshfield DPW and the MPSD Custodians for doing a great job in dealing with Winter Storm Stella.  While they had snow, rain, wind and coastal flooding to contend with, both teams did a fantastic job in getting our streets and school parking lots & walkways cleared for our school buses and students today.  The whole state shut down yesterday, but their hard work over the past 24 hours allowed the MPSD to open on time today and without incident.

School Committee Meeting on Tuesday, March 21st

The School Committee meeting of March 14th was postponed due to Snow Day.  The meeting will be rescheduled for Tuesday, March 21st @ 7 PM.  The meeting will take place at the Ventress Auditorium.

MHS Championship Cheer and Track Relay Teams Celebrated

The MHS Winter Co-Ed Cheerleading Team and its Boys 4 x 800 Relay Team were honored recently at a brief ceremony outside of MHS.

The cheerleaders were recognized for winning the state championships in the Large School division this winter..

The boys 4 x 800 relay team not only won a state championship this winter, but they also earned the status of All-American when they finished 6th at the Nationals.

Both teams worked real hard this winter and put forth their best effort at all times.  We are proud of them and congratulate them for their accomplishments.

MEF- 7th Annual St. Patrick's Road Race

Saturday, March 18th, will be the date for the 7th Annual St. Patrick's Day Road Race, sponsored by the Marshfield Educational Foundation.  The race begins at 10 AM in front of the Venus II in Brant Rock.

Elementary Evening Parent Conferences Changed Due to Snow Day

Elementary Evening Parent Conferences, which had been scheduled for Tuesday, March 14th, have been moved now to Tuesday, March 21st.  They will take place at the same time as previously scheduled: 6:00-8:00 PM at the respective elementary schools.

Marshfield Idol- Thursday, March 16th @ 7 PM

Just a reminder......Marshfield Idol will take place on Thursday, March 16th at MHS.  The event will begin at 7 PM.

With yesterday's Snow Day, the revised final day for the 2016-2017 school year is Monday, June 19th, 2017.  Please plan accordingly.
