I want to thank the voters of Marshfield for supporting the initiative to replace the roof at the Furnace Brook Middle School. With last week's vote, the town will be able to move forward with the project and will receive just over $3 million in assistance from the the Massachusetts School Building Authority to defray the cost of the project.
Bids will be going out soon to contractors and the goal is to begin work on the roof in early July. If all goes according to plan, the work will be completed in November.
