Meet Harbormaster Mike DiMeo @ Ventress Memorial Library March 27th

Have you ever wondered what exactly does a harbormaster do?  

Join the team at the Marshfield Public Library on Monday, March 27, at 7 p.m. for an informative session on the duties and activities of Marshfield’s Harbormaster Michael DiMeo. Officer DiMeo’s presentation will cover many subjects including: patrolling waterways and monitoring the harbor; boater safety courses; maintaining floats, docks and gangways; pier maintenance; dredging permits; channel marker installation; Federal disaster drills; shellfish regulations; marine rescues; oil spills; marine mammals in distress; grant writing and administration; and layout and ownership of public and private marinas. 

This event is free and open to the public; no tickets are required. The library and program room are handicapped accessible.
