MPSD Update- Tuesday, March 6th

The following message was sent out to the MPSD community this evening:

Good evening.  This is Superintendent Granatino with a brief update on weather events we are looking at over the next few days.  As you may have heard on the Reverse-911 call sent out tonight, the Board of Selectmen will vote a local state of emergency this evening.  As noted in the call, “this is in response to the recent breaches in our seawalls and the upcoming storm projected for late Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning.”

After meeting with safety officials and our town administrator earlier today and based on the information provided to us by MEMA, the projected weather should not impact our school day tomorrow.  We will assess the weather throughout the day and into tomorrow evening, before determining if we have to make any changes to after-school and evening events on Wednesday or the school day on Thursday.

In the meantime, we will continue to use our alternate bus stops tomorrow around Brant Rock and the Esplanade due to the  impact the tides are having in that area.  Here is the link to those routes:

Thank you and have a good night.
