Marshfield School Community,
Earlier
this evening, prior to the start of the boys’ rugby game, an adult male MHS staff
member had a medical event in the parking lot at MHS. The staff member was treated on the scene by
Marshfield Fire & Police and transported to a nearby hospital and is still
undergoing treatment. At this time, we
have not been able to contact immediate family members, so we cannot share the
name of the staff member.
At
the same time, police and fire had to treat the situation as a possible
hazardous material-related event because of some of the details related to this
medical event and they blocked off the area where the event took place. Once the “hazmat” team was able to get on
site, they quickly determined that it was not a hazardous material-related
event and no one was in any danger.
We
will try and keep you updated if/when there is new information that can be
shared. We will continue to keep him in
our thoughts and prayers.
