MES Jimmy Fund Update

The following is a wonderful update from the Martinson Elementary School on the work they are doing to support the Jimmy Fund:

The Results from last week’s Penny Wars are in.  First grade collected the most pennies and won Fenway Forever wrist bands.  They raised $179.68 in pennies!  The winners of the Penny Wars with the least amount of negative change and winners of the extra recess are… 4th grade!   As a school we raised $2,271.00 in one week from loose change and dollar bills that will be donated to the Jimmy Fund.  Our grand total this year is $3,081.00.  Thank you to all the students and teachers who participated.  A special thank you to the 5th Grade Student Council for making posters and promoting the Penny Wars and to Sarah Beck, Lyndsay Picard, Lisa Roycroft, and Julie Walker for bringing change to the coin machines and gathering our grand totals. Let’s go Red Sox!
