While the complete details have not yet been finalized, the Marshfield School District took another step towards partnering up with Massasoit Community College (MCC). I informed the School Committee that I met last week with MCC President, Dr. Charles Wall, his Chief Financial Officer, William Mitchell, and our Director of Business & Finance, Tom Miller, to lay out plans by which MCC would be able to use Marshfield High School space to offer courses.
The college would like to start a Marine Technology program and have Marshfield be the center of that program. In addition, they will be offering general education courses to run a few nights during the week. Once the arrangements are finalized, MCC plans to offer these courses starting in the fall of 2016.
We are very excited about the opportunity to partner with Massasoit Community College and we will keep everyone up to date as the process moves along.
